Gratitude

her entire life
flashes before her blue eyes
steeped in gratitude

what a life we live
on this beautiful planet
how lucky we are

so much beauty shared
in the most intimate ways
forever grateful

you taught me so much
though what stands out the most is
generosity

though cult was off-base
I thank you for reminding
me of my own lens

you were a part of
some major soul growth for me
and so I evolve

what a gift to live
more in touch with my body
and less in my head

gently slowing down
more space in the mind and heart
tender gratitude
